How the path usually works

1. Recognition

Apply to the competent authority of the federal state; the check usually takes three to four months once documents are complete.

2. Language & gaps

German as required by the state (often B2); a deficit notice can be closed with a knowledge test or adaptation course.

3. Job & residence

Full recognition (§ 18a) or the recognition route under § 16d, e.g. a recognition partnership with an employer.

Do I need to be from Iran to apply?

No. Iran is our origin and our main recruitment network, but we also support qualified healthcare professionals from other countries along the same process. We do not offer country-specific services beyond that.

Do I need recognition to work as a nurse in Germany?

Yes. Nursing is a regulated profession. To work as Pflegefachfrau/Pflegefachmann you need a licence under the Nursing Professions Act (§ 2 PflBG), issued by the competent state authority after checking equivalence.

What German level do I need?

The federal states set the requirements; B2 is often expected, sometimes with a nursing-specific language exam.
